DAY-TO-DAY CARE AND STORAGE
You do not have to wash your cashmere after each wearing. Instead, lie your garment over a chair to air out overnight, then fold and put away in a drawer or shelf. It is best not to hang your garment if possible. Cedar balls can be placed together with your garments to help prevent moths.
OFF-SEASON STORAGE
1. Clean and dry the garment according to the instructions above.
2. Fold the garment loosely to prevent stretching and place it in a bag made of breathable cotton or linen. Avoid storage bags that are made of polyester or plastic.
3. Cedar balls can be placed in the storage bags to help prevent damage by moths.
MORE ON PILLING
Cashmere is a natural fibre so some pilling is normal. Friction due to everyday use can loosen some fibres to the surface of the garment that can roll into pills when worn. Pills often lessen after a few washings. To remove pills, lie your garment flat and gently brush in the direction of the knit using a Henderson Cashmere comb.
