Cashmere care

- Remove pills by gently stoking in the direction of the knit with a Henderson Cashmere anti-pill comb.
- Carefully treat any stains, discolorations and areas that trap odors, such as armpits.

HAND WASH
- Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a mild detergent designed for delicate fibers such as wool and silk. Submerge the garment and make sure the soap is evenly distributed throughout.
- Soak for 15 - 20 minutes, depending on the condition of the garment.
- Rinse well by running lukewarm water through the garment until the detergent is gone.
- Gently squeeze the water out without twisting the garment .

- Roll the garment up in a clean towel to remove the excess moisture.
- Lay the garment flat on a dry towel.
- When the garment is dry, remove any lint with a lint brush or roller and any remaining pills with a Henderson Cashmere anti-pill comb.
MACHINE WASH
Yes, it is possible to wash cashmere in the washing machine! Follow these instructions carefully:
- Place the cashmere garment in a bag designed for washing similar garments.
- On the wool program, set the temperature to 0 - 30 degrees celsius with a spin speed of no more than 600. Note: The wool program of most new machines has automatic settings.
- Use only a mild detergent which is specially designed for wool and delicate garments.
- Lay the garment flat on a dry towel.
- When dry, remove any lint with a lint brush or roller and any remaining pills with a Henderson Cashmere anti-pill comb.
Note: Henderson Cashmere is not responsible for any damage resulting from machine washing cashmere garments.
IRONING
On the lowest heat setting, iron the garment inside out on a towel or ironing board. Place a damp cloth between the iron and the garment to prevent scorching. If using a steamer, keep a distance between the steam head and the garment to prevent shrinkage.

DAILY CARE AND STORAGE
You don't need to wash cashmere after every use. Instead, lay the garment over a chair to air out overnight, then fold and store in a drawer or shelf. It is best not to hang cashmere garments. Henderson Cashmere anti-moth cedar balls.
OFF SEASON STORAGE
- Clean and dry the garment according to the instructions above.
- Fold the garment loosely to avoid stretching and place it in a bag made of breathable cotton or linen. Avoid storage bags made of polyester or plastic.
- Henderson Cashmere anti-moth cedar balls can be placed in the storage bags to prevent moth damage.
MORE ABOUT PILLING
Cashmere is a natural fiber, so some pilling is normal. Friction from everyday wear can loosen some fibers on the surface of the garment which can roll into pills. Pilling often reduces after a few washes. To remove pills, lay the garment flat and brush gently in the direction of the knit with a Henderson Cashmere anti-pill comb.
